UCT’s main campuses are covered by IP telephony and Skype for Business. However, several UCT sites (e.g. remote clinics) are not connected to the physical network.

In such cases, staff at these sites use standard phone lines provided by Telkom.

These phone accounts are paid for by UCT, but Telkom is responsible for maintenance and services on these lines.

For support with an external phone line, log a call with ICTS. We will then liaise with the relevant service provider to get help for you.
