Make a call

You can make calls using the handset, a headset or the hands-free speakerphone:

Use the handset
Method one
  1. Pick up the handset.
  2. Dial the desired number using the dial pad.
Method two
  1. Dial the desired number using the dial pad.
  2. Pick up the handset.
Method three
  1. Dial the desired number using the dial pad.
  2. Press the soft dial key button.
  3. Pick up the handset.

 

Use your headset
Method one
  1. Put your headset on, then press either
    Line 1
     or the New Call soft key.
  2. Press 
    headset
    .
  3. Dial the desired number.
Method two
  1. Put your headset on, then dial the desired number using the dial pad.
  2. Press
    headset
     .
Method three
  1. Put your headset on and press 
    headset
    .
  2. Dial the desired number using the dial pad.

 

Use the hands-free speakerphone
Method one
  1. With the handset on the hook, press either the New Call soft key,
    Line 1
     or
    speaker
     for a dial tone.
  2. Dial the desired number using the dial pad.
Method two
  1. With the handset on the hook, dial the desired number using the dial pad.
  2. Press either
    Line 1
    ,
    speaker
     or wait for the call to begin.

Redial a recent number

With the handset on the hook, press
View last dialled numbers
 to view the list of numbers dialled recently from your phone. Use the arrow keys to select the number you want to redial and make the call.

Answer a call

You can answer a call via the handset, your headset, or the hands-free speakerphone:

Simply pick up the handset – like a traditional phone.

Note: If you're already using your headset to listen to something else, first configure your settings to give the call priority over other audio.

Hands-free speakerphone
  1. With the handset on the hook, press:
    • speaker
       or
    • Line 1
       or
    • The Answer soft key.

End a call

There are numerous ways to end a call:

Handset
  • Simply put the handset back on the cradle – like a traditional phone.
    or
  • Press the End Call soft key.
Headset
  • Press
    headset
    .
    or
  • Press the End Call soft key.
Hands-free speakerphone
  • Press 
    speaker
    .
    or
  • Press the End Call soft key.

Place a call on hold and resume a call

To place an active call on hold, press
call on hold
. The display area will then indicate that a call has been placed on hold. If the call is on hold for an extended period, both visual and audio alerts will appear on the display screen. And if two or more calls are on hold, the display screen shows an icon indicating how many calls are on hold.

 

To resume a call, press
call on hold
 again or the press the Resume soft key. However, if multiple calls are on hold, use the up and down arrow keys to switch between calls then press the Resume soft key to retrieve the desired call.

Transfer a call

You can transfer a call in one of two ways:

Consultative transfer Blind transfer
You consult with someone before transferring a call to them. You simply transfer a call to someone else – without seeking their permission.
  1. During a call, press the Trans soft key. The active call is placed on hold.
  2. Enter the number that you want to transfer the call to.
  3. Wait for the party to answer and consult with them. When you’re ready to transfer the call, press the Trans soft key.

  2. Press the More soft key then the Blind soft key.
  3. Enter the number that you want to transfer the call to.
  4. The call is then connected to the number that you want to transfer the call to. Hang up your phone.

Get help
