ICTS will be rolling out Windows 11 to campus over the next few months. The new operating system brings a host of new features and a refreshed look.

Before making any new operating system available to campus, ICTS first conducts testing to ensure full compatibility with UCT’s ICT systems, services, and applications.

Check if your machine is compatible with Windows 11

In preparation for the campus-wide rollout, we need to verify if your machine is eligible to be upgraded to Windows 11. Please connect to the UCT network then view your machine details on the Windows 11 compatibility website. If you are working remotely, first connect to the UCT VPN and then access the site.

Enter your computer name using the instructions provided on the compatibility website, and then complete the online form.

  • If your machine is not eligible, use the link displayed on the website to log a call with the IT Helpdesk for further advice.
  • If your machine is not listed, download the compatibility-checking application, which appears on the Windows 11 compatibility website.
  • If your machine is eligible, log a call with the IT Helpdesk to schedule the reinstallation and upgrade.
