As part of the Upper Campus Data Centre Refurbishment project, ICTS has performed important data centre maintenance on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November 2022.

The upcoming slots will run from 08:00 to 0:00 a.m. (midnight) on each day. 

This work - while being a critical part of our ongoing infrastructure improvement - also aims to reduce the risk of loadshedding impacting services on the scale of recent incidents.

How does this affect me?

Amathuba, UCT email, Teams, and other Microsoft services will not be impacted.

However, all other UCT services (including Vula, PeopleSoft, and eduroam connectivity) will be unavailable during the following timeslots:

  1. Saturday 19th November: 8:00 to 0:00 a.m. (midnight)
  2. Sunday 20th November: 8:00 to 0:00 a.m. (midnight)
