Visio and Project applications are not available in the Microsoft Campus Agreement

Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project are not covered under the Microsoft Campus Agreement (MCA). This means that you if you have this software installed on your machine (as part of the previous agreement), you are in contravention of the UCT’s general usage policy. You will need to uninstall the software immediately.

Note: If you or your department have purchased a licence for Project and/or Visio – independently of the Microsoft Campus Agreement – you do not need to uninstall your software.

How to uninstall Visio and Project from your Windows machine

Please follow these steps for all work and private computers where you have installed UCT-licenced copies of the software:

  1. Click the Start button in the bottom left corner of your screen and search for Control Panel.
  2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
  3. Select Visio from the list and click Uninstall/Change.
  4. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Yes.
  5. When the application is uninstalled, click OK in the status message.
  6. If you have Project installed too, repeat steps 1 to 5 – selecting Project in step 3.

Log a call with the IT Helpdesk should you experience any issues with the uninstallation process.
