You can access the internet and the UCT network either via the wireless network or the wired network. If you opt for the wired network, you use a network cable to connect your computer to a network point which is fixed into the wall of your office. This provides a faster connection speed than wireless.

Depending on your office layout and your needs, ICTS can either move an existing network point or install a new network point. Both types of installation come at a cost, so please ask permission from your fund holder before requesting a network point. ICTS will require their authorisation for the expenditure before proceeding with the request.
