Before you arrive on campus:

Manage your account by changing your temporary password (third parties).
  Several services you will use are secured by Multi-factor authentication (MFA). Once you have changed your password, you will need to set up set up your MFA.

Download UCT Mobile, the university's all-in-one-mobile app for your phone.

 

When you get to campus:

Connect to eduroam (the wireless network) either automatically (with the CAT tool) or manually.

Connect your device(s) to the internet.

Access your email (available on request for contract staff*).

Protect yourself online:

Ensure you have a reputable antivirus program installed on your computer.

Always be on the lookout for suspicious emails and links.

Report any cybersecurity incidents to the CSIRT (UCT's Computer Security Incident Response Team).
