What's in the box?

When you receive the phone, check that the box includes the following contents (numbered according to the diagram):

  • Polycom CCX400 phone
  • Handset and cord
  • Network cable
  • Phone base 

If any of the components are missing, please contact the IT Helpdesk to request assistance.

Warning:
You may also find a quick assembly guide booklet in the box. Do not follow those instructions. Rather follow the steps covered in this article.

Step 1: Connect the cables.

  1. Unplug the network cable from your computer and connect it to the phone’s LAN socket (as shown in step 1 above).

  2. Take the supplied black network cable and plug it into the phone’s PC socket (as shown in step 2 above). Add the ferrite clamp to this cable point, then plug the other end into your computer.

  3. A power cable is not supplied due to our network being on Power over Ethernet.

  4. Take the supplied handset and connect the cord to the phone’s handset socket (as shown in step 3 above).

Step 3: Sign into Microsoft Teams:

Option 1

  1. Tap the Teams icon on the phone. 
  2. Enter your Microsoft Teams username and password. 
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the sign-in process. 

Option 2

  1. Open a web browser on your computer and enter the URL displayed on the phone https://microsoft.com/devicelogin. 

  2. Enter the code displayed on the phone. 

  3. Select your Microsoft account and click Next. 

  4. Enter your Microsoft account password and click Sign in. 

  5. Enter your multi-factor authentication code.
