SAP

SAP courses are intended for permanent and long-term contract staff whose roles require SAP access.   SAP training is available only where finance responsibilities forms a significant and ongoing component of the staff member’s role.  Attendance at the relevant training is mandatory for these staff members, and SAP access will only be granted once the required training has been completed.

SAP training takes place every month from February to November. Courses start in the second week of the month to ensure that new staff receive training as soon as possible after their arrival at UCT.

Please ensure that new staff do not miss the start of the training cycle by submitting their applications via the ServiceNow Portal at least two weeks prior to the 1st training session. Another UCT staff member can apply on behalf of a new staff member before they arrive.

The Finance Helpdesk needs to be advised of a cancellation at least 5 working days before the start of the course for administration purposes.

Existing SAP users at UCT may apply for refresher training via the ServiceNow Portal. This will allow you to attend any of the regular courses that are in line with their current job requirements i.e. the SAP authorisations they already have.

If you have not logged onto SAP in the previous 2 months your account will be expired. This will be carried out at the beginning of each month. Contact icts-helpdesk@uct.ac.za if you need to unlock your account.
