ICTS needs to conduct emergency maintenance on both the Skype for Business and Anywhere 365 servers this evening. As a result, UCT contact centres will be offline for two hours.

Affected services

All UCT contact centres – such as the UCT switchboard, the IT Helpdesk, and the Maintenance Helpdesk – will be unavailable from 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. tonight (Thursday 2nd February 2023). These centres officially close at or before 8:00 p.m. in any case, therefore there will be no impact on the UCT community.

The 24-hour Campus Protection Services number (021 650 2222) will remain available, as we will implement an alternative solution for this critical service during the maintenance period.
