In 2020, we ran our first ICTS TV Creative Expo – where we showcased the amazing artistic and literary talents of ICTS staff members. Since then, many new staff members have joined ICTS, and most of us had more time at home – which has hopefully given rise to creative expressions.

In 2022, we launched our next Creative Expo, inviting ICTS staff to send in their paintings, drawings, digital art, photography, poetry, short stories, or other creative writing (even anonymously).

How does it work?

By the end of Monday 11th April 2022, Send your creative works to the ICTS Feedback account. We accept the following items:

  • Short stories, poetry, prose, and other written work: Send your writing in a Microsoft Word file. (And if you’ve got an accompanying graphic, please send it through as we may present your work visually.)
  • Paintings, drawings, and other physical works: Send scans (PNG or JPG format) or high res photos of the work.
  • Digital artwork: Send high res PNG or JPG files.
  • Creative or manipulated photography: Send in high res PNG or JPG files. (If you’re not sure what qualifies, have a look at this article.)

We collated all submissions and published these to the ICTS TV Teams channel from 9th to 19th May 2022. At the end of the publishing period, we asked ICTS staff to vote for their favourites in the various categories. Winners received items from a pool of modest prizes:

  • 2 x laptop bags
  • 2 x combination locks
  • 1 x notebook cable lock
  • Numerous UCT-branded 16GB flash drives
