On Saturday 1st October 2022, ICTS will perform wireless infrastructure maintenance from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  The maintenance aim to improve WiFi stability on campus, but will result in loss of connectivity at certain times while the work impacts almost 6000 wireless access points across campus.

How does it affect me?

If you're in any UCT building or in residence on Saturday 1st October,  your wireless access point will go offline for a period of 10 to 30 minutes at some point during the day.

This means that you will lose eduroam connectivity for this period.

Once the maintenance is complete, your connection will automatically be restored. If not, please switch your device's WiFi off, then on again.
