As part of the Upper Campus Data Centre Refurbishment project, ICTS will perform important data centre maintenance on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July 2024. This follows earlier maintenance on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024.

This work is a critical part of our ongoing infrastructure improvement.

How does this affect me?

There will be varying degrees of disruption as follows:

  1. Saturday 27th July: Internet access, eduroam, Amathuba, UCT email, Teams, and other Microsoft services will not be impacted. However, from 18:30 to 22:30, all other UCT ICT services will be unavailable. These services include Vula and PeopleSoft.
  2. Sunday 28th July: Internet access, eduroam, Amathuba, UCT email, Teams, and other Microsoft services will not be impacted. However, from 08:00 to 0:00 a.m. (midnight), all other UCT services will be unavailable. These services include Vula and PeopleSoft.

Plan ahead

If you need to use any of the affected UCT services, please do so either before or after the maintenance periods.
