TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE MPS STUDENT PRINTING COMPETITION

 

These terms, conditions, and rules apply to the MPS Student Printing Competition (“the competition”), which is being run by Altron Managed Print Solution.

  1. WHEN DOES THE COMPETITION START AND END?
  • The competition period starts at 00:01 on 24 October 2022 and will run for the duration of 3 weeks until 23:59 on 15 November 2022. Winners will be drawn every week.
  • The organisers reserve the right to change the duration of the competition period.

 

  1. HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION
  • Simply print using the Managed Print Solution (MPS). Tap your student card on an Altron MPS (Xerox) networked printer’s card reader anywhere at UCT.

 

  1. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN?
  • All students who are currently registered to study at UCT.
     
  1. WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN?
  • Any full-time UCT staff member and Third Party (i.e., any person that is not a UCT student).
  • The spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the abovementioned persons and student.
     
  1. PRIZES
  • One of 4 vouchers for a large Food & Connect coffee, valued at R35, is up for grabs each week.
  • Vouchers are limited to one per person for the duration of the competition.
  • Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash or other Food & Connect coffee and food items.

  1. HOW WILL WINNERS BE CHOSEN?
  • Four student names will be randomly drawn as winners from the weekly Top 20 student printers, by value of prints.
  • Duplicate entries and previous winners will be removed from the list of qualifying entrants.

  1. HOW WILL WINNERS BE NOTIFIED?
  • Following the draw, winners will be contacted and notified via their UCT email address.
  • Winners may also be announced via ICTS social media platforms, however, this does not constitute proper notification to the winner, who will still be contacted via email.
     
  1. HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE
  • Vouchers can be collected from the Oppenheimer Document Centre print room on Upper Campus.
  • Instructions for collection of vouchers will also be included in the email notification sent to winners.
  • Upon collection, the winner must produce a valid means of identification (e.g., their UCT student card, passport, driver’s licence or South African ID book).
  • The winner must also sign for the receipt of the voucher in the provided register.

 

  1. WHAT HAPPENS IF MPS CANNOT CONTACT THE WINNER, OR IF THE WINNER IS UNABLE TO COLLECT THEIR PRIZE?
  • ICTS does not accept any responsibility for incorrect email address details, or the non-delivery of the email notification to the winner.
  • If a voucher is not collected and signed for by the close of the competition, the winner forfeits their prize.
     
  1. GENERAL
  • Vouchers may be redeemed at any Food & Connect coffee shop on UCT campuses.
  • Vouchers are valid until 15 December 2022.
  • MPS reserves the right to disqualify an entry if there are reasonable grounds to believe that they are in breach of any of the above terms.
  • In the case of any disputes regarding these rules, MPS’ decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • MPS reserves the right to alter, amend, or close the competition as necessary.
